I feel content at the idea of Xie Lian living in a weird place that is full of wonders, but also always being surrounded by people who love him. Because Ghost City loves Xie Lian way more than the Heavenly Capital ever will.

For context, I’ve already read and reviewed MDZS, and I’m currently more than halfway through SVSSS. So I think it’s fair to say that I can ascertain that TGCF is MXTX’s best novel. By far. Heedless of warnings to stay away from Hua Cheng, Xie Lian continues to cross paths with the nonchalant and intelligent ghost king as he becomes increasingly enveloped in the affairs of the three realms of heaven, earth, and ghost. But there are so many other things that happen here, some of them dark and painfully brutal so don't mistake this story for fluff, because it definitely isn't.
